Habla Roosevelt works to help unite the Roosevelt community by breaking down the barriers of English, volunteering every Saturday, within "semesters" of 7-8 weeks. We teach English to the kids of our workers/janitors, as a way to give back the people who help create a clean, and healthy environment on campus.
As president of Habla Roosevelt, I am in charge of assuring that the club runs as smooth as possible. With the help of Corey Topf and Joe Bonnici, both IA teachers, and co-president Vanessa Williams, I am able to make sure Habla functions every Saturday, as well as the meetings in-between. I manage a group of twenty high school volunteers and a total of forty Habla students, all of which make up Habla Roosevelt's entity!
