I started singing at the age of 4, standing on kitchen counters, dancing to Shakira and Chayanne as my mom cooked dinner in the background. It wasn't unusual for music to be played 24/7 in our household; from Spanish bachata, and salsa, to the latest 00's English pop music---I truly loved it all. You can say I was surrounded by music growing up. I was no stranger to piano, and guitar lessons encouraged by my parents. My dad was, and is the best singer I will ever come to know, and I'll forever be grateful to have his talent handed down to me. As I started growing up, the love I had for music grew along with me. Suddenly, most of my afternoons, as well as late nights, were spent hidden away in closets, and bathrooms in hope for some space in where I could freely create, and write music to my hearts content. So much that hearing a guitar strum at 2AM wasn't unusual anymore. Here is some of the music that has come out from those late nights; just a girl, singing about a broken heart.
